mark, i think ru fits the big 10 profile other than a smaller venue,which is more alligned with the acc. who knows maybe acc takes ru---i hope not

95% of ND's revenue comes from football. And it's a lot. They aren't joining a conference unless they find it impossible to put together a quality schedule.

I think the Irish will always have a quality schedule even with conferences going to 9 game schedules.

The only thing, imho, that will get ND to even consider entering a conference is if they feel they are being shut out of a post-season opportunity to win a NC.

This is the key along with the NBC contract. I do not think NBC wants to re-up on that contract because ND does not compete for national championships anymore. To do so they will have to go to a conference where their schedule (likely) would be easier and give them a better chance to win a NC.

The current ACC with ND and WV or UCONN would be the dream scenario.
