The 'Bing opens at 9:30.I have a Rutgers question... why does the game start so damn late? 9:30? On a Tuesday? After a Bills Monday nighter?

Yeah, mountain time zone is awesome for sports.I lived in Mountain Time for awhile and was not a weekend warrior yet...
NFL Sunday’s were amazing... 11 am kick offs, get to the bar an hour or so before game time for some bloodies with a side omelette and hash browns.
Sunday night football was done by 9:30.

Local Syracuse fans hate noon kickoffs and tipoffs, but when you're in MST and can wake up, have a leisurely morning and breakfast, turn on the game at 10 and be done with plenty of day left, it's pretty great.
But losses can turn into some really bad day-drinkin'.And for tourney time, early games no matter what time zone, when we get a win make for the most enjoyable game watching the rest of the afternoon and evening.
But losses can turn into some really bad day-drinkin'.
This. This should be huge. Not to mention how active Alan and Q are down low.We have 15 fouls to spare from our centers. Let them get in there and tussle for a few minutes at a time.
Exhibit A (for me anyways: ) The Blake Griffin game. But losses can turn into some really bad day-drinkin'.
Why are AP rankings any more meaningless than Kenpom or whatever Torvik is?Thats just not true haha
They’re seven spots higher than us on Kenpom and we’re 5 spots higher on Torvik. AP poll rankings are meaningless, just something to feel good about.
With Marek on the floor we’re a matchup nightmare for most teams in college basketball
Kenpom and Torvik provide objective, number-based analysis and predictive metrics that tell you something about teams and the games that they play while AP rankings are a compilation of lists that beat writers who focus on single teams/conferences makeWhy are AP rankings any more meaningless than Kenpom or whatever Torvik is?
I’m mostly hoping our rebounding and pg are real. I’m not counting on anything from the flashes of the other youngins yet.The obvious objective with any game is to win. Given our predicament with two starters out, I am looking more to see if this is a carbon copy of PSU/Okie state or if we are a better team who can beat a team like this. Last year it was clear we were not going to win OSU/PSU/Iowa far before the final whistle. That is the other change I am looking for. Obviously winning the game settles that but being down two starters to their 1, I am looking at how competitive we are as well.
This early in the season, none of the rankings mean anything more than the others. There are no real results to compare, so who cares if their analysis is more complete?Kenpom and Torvik provide objective, number-based analysis and predictive metrics that tell you something about teams and the games that they play while AP rankings are a compilation of lists that beat writers who focus on single teams/conferences make
So you think Rutgers is better because they’re ranked and we’re not? Genuinely asking because that was your initial pointThis early in the season, none of the rankings mean anything more than the others. There are no real results to compare, so who cares if their analysis is more complete?
They've been consistently ranked higher than us since before the season started, so yes. I also think the games we've played haven't really done anything to vault us over them. Kadary is a potential game changer though. So you think Rutgers is better because they’re ranked and we’re not? Genuinely asking because that was your initial point
Do coaches think this way too?We have 15 fouls to spare from our centers. Let them get in there and tussle for a few minutes at a time.

Booze was a bad choice.
I’m thinking this is a 2010 UNC type game for us. Where we take Rutgers to the woodshed and expose what we have this year. CBB is down this year...could be a special year
Like... 2019-20?It would be so Syracuse to have a great team during a pandemic in a season that might not even get played to conclusion.

Well, we could be Rutgers. Suffer a 30 year NCAA drought and 13 straight losing seasons and have what was likely to be an NCAA bid lost to COVID. I actually feel bad for their basketball fans.
Annnnnnnd - I've over it!
Let's give them a legit reason to feel bad, with a big ol' L, for old times' sake.
Jonny Flynn says HI!
No one on this board hates Rutgirls as much as me, but I felt bad for them too, they had some good wins they deserved to finally see their name on Selection Sunday.Well, we could be Rutgers.
