I would think a recruiting background or at least good contacts would be helpful for the position. That's how you get a head start on under the radar prospects. We've seen that w/ both Bartow and Boller.

I believe HS coaches who had connection with Bartow contacted him about a couple of our guys. Same with Boller. If they know you, I assume they're more inclined to give you a heads-up.
