With 1:02 remaining and trailing 14-7, East Pennsboro got the ball at its own 14 yard line. Two plays later, Wilson connected with Marshall for a 38-yard gain down the left side. The next snap, Wilson found Jake Nieto at the goal line for a 38-yard touchdown to make it 14-13 with 36 seconds remaining.
East Pennsboro took a 7-0 lead with 4:39 left in the second quarter when Wilson threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Matt Shutt. The 43-yard drive was set up by the one fumble that the Panther defense did recover.
The defense for the Spartans (5-2, 3-1) had pressured Wilson most of the contest. On the next to last possession for East Pennsboro (4-3, 2-2), Tollae Henry and Emmanuel Aleshinloye had back-to-back sacks to force a punt Panther 18-yard line.
Wilson was 8-for-17 for 152 yards in the 14-13 loss.
