Scheduling

This year was a bit of the exception, was it not? It was one of the weaker pre-conference schedules for Syracuse, definitively not average.

Saying that we're the only team to beat Arkansas at Arkansas is not saying much either - it's the SEC which has one team in the top 25. I am going to the Arkansas game Wednesday so we'll see how they do on the road against a mediocre LSU team.
 
Pre-season tournaments have been steadily getting worse and worse each year with more events causing dilution. Next year's Maui field isn't looking too imposing. Gonzaga will take a step back with Olynk and Harris likely gone, and Cal and Minnesota are the only other teams that will make this year's tourney. We know we have St. John's on the road, which is ok at best.

The key will be who we get in the ACC-Big 10, and whether we add a second big name, like a Georgetown.
