Coming into this season, I had very high hopes for our secondary. We only lost 1 player off this unit (yes, he was our best player on the unit), but with 3/4 of the secondary back, complimented by talented young players, I was very hopeful we'd be able to shut down (or at least slow down) passing games. Unfortunately, we haven't come close to matching my expectations. Maybe I thought too highly of these guys. Maybe I was drinking the Orange Kool-Aid. Or just maybe...they're going to turn things around. My hope is for the latter.

Is it schemes, blown assignments, a lack of talent, or a combination of all three? I'm asking, because I don't have the answer. Right now, all I have is frustration and disappointment. I'm hoping we can get this cleaned up, win big the next couple games, and have some momentum going into Clemson. Gotta keep the faith!

Talent is there; athleticism is without a doubt there.

Missed assignments have been a big problem both games so far, but I think scheme adjustments need to be made better during games.

IMO no sense in being a base set 4-3 against a team like NW.

Appreciate the insight Rocco. I needed someone with a football mind to point out what I may not be seeing. I really like Reddish, Eskridge & Morgan. Let's just hope things get better. A couple of big wins can go a long way for confidence building. This is the time to get it done.

It seemed like each DB was covering 1.5 players and NW ran routes that hit the open spots to perfection.

The Cuse may not see better WR's than NW this year and I know Clemson & FSU have several great one's...

No excuses for this poor performance with 30/37 passing by the 'Cats.

Those two NW QB's put on an offensive CLINIC. Best display of offense I've seen in some time.
