I really like him and the way he plays. He should be in the top 2-3 of recruits we go after in 2027

Baba was one of the better players I saw at the recent Peach Jam. I am surprised that he is reclassifying to 2026.

I wonder if he already has a destination selected or an agreement in place. I also wonder if his reclassification removes him from Syracuse’s interests.

He did like Syracuse and Carmelo Anthony was one of his favorite players to watch.

I thought that he and Miles Sandler would be a good set of players to play for Syracuse.

He played on the same Peach Jam team (Team Durant?) as Anthony Brown Jr and were both very impressive in the games I watched.

Baba was one of the top 5 players I saw play at this year’s Peach Jam. Sadiq White was impressive. Baba was so smooth. Everything he did was effortless.

Really happy we have Sadiq but Baba would have been the icing on the cake if we were able to get both players.

He is a younger player playing up a level with real good skills

I compare him to Sadiq but with better offensive skills not quite as good defensively.

Wanted him to come to Syracuse.

He signed with Maryland.

It is a waste that he is not coming to Syracuse.

Got it. Yes, I would have loved to have seen Baba come to 'Cuse, but candidly, I don't think Syracuse was ever that involved. And it's no surprise he's headed to Maryland, given he's from the DMV. Great get for Buzz and my hometown Terps!

Why, thank you for your opinion. Not sure what value it has to me. I’m now 60 years+ of being a Cuse Basketball fan. Closer to the end of my life than the beginning. Sorry that I express my disappointment in not getting a player I like. Did not realize that my value of life had to meet your meager understanding of what a person may enjoy.

It definitely has. True story: My first apartment after college was in Rockville. I lived there with my twin brother, also an SU grad. That was when SU won the natty in 2003; I was watching downstairs and screaming, while my brother was too terrified to watch and sitting in his room for much of the second half. Poor guy. Rockville, baby!
