Remember the head coach said this is his best class in a long time. I believe I’m paraphrasing but he thinks this class is very good.

Color me a hair pessimistic.
I think he's right. I like the class a lot.

Yes, those same ones. I generally trust professionals.
But, those professionals are the ones who have us where we are today.
Either way, this isn't about starting campaigns to get people fired. It's about "concerns." Shirley, you have thoughts and opinions independent of the staff.

So they have 4 dudes that score?

So they have 4 dudes that score?
Yeah, and don't particularly score a lot. You can understand why they've been struggling as much as they have lol. They're 1-4 in the NIBC games so far and averaging around 55 points per game.

You really can't get a full understanding of someone's game without watching games, but those are some ugly numbers right there. The shooting percentages are bad, the assist to turnover ratio is atrocious.

I'm hoping to check them out. They play a couple games on the road that aren't too far from me.

I will add that they're 4-0 outside of the NIBC games. No idea the level of competition those games are/haven't watched them so I can't really say if that's impressive at all, but it's possible he's played well in those games.

With his field goal percentage (31-2pfg, 26-3pfg), I’m surprised he even sees any playing time.

I wish I didn't see this so I could be more optimistic Bunch will be a difference maker for us next season.
31% 2P% -- yikes. Since it's only 4 games, hope this is a small sample that will improve with more games.

It's only 16 attempts at the moment. The majority of his shots are catch and shoot 3's.

In 3 years, maybe. Next year, not sure.
3 YEARS??? I’m not sure any of these guys won’t be 1 year REMOVED from SU in 3 years. That’s preposterous.

Lol. None of these guys is going to the league in 2 years.

This year is their senior year. Next year is freshman year. 3rd year is their sophomore year. Maybe a couple are passable next year, but I don't see them being huge impacts (unless out of necessity) prior to their sophomore/junior seasons.

I will also say that they may all need to play out of necessity and that could change the curve a bit. But this class isn't Top 15 with 2 automatic studs from the jump. Heck, Benny Williams was rated much higher than any of these guys and he isn't even ready.

3 years from now they will be half way through their JUNIOR year. You’re telling me they won’t contribute until then? If that’s the case they will all have transferred by then. Your post makes no sense.

It’s a developmental group. They’ll play, and some may have decent games. And out of necessity, they may play more than they should - which could change the timeline. But in normal circumstances, this group - based on what level recruits they are - should not be relied on to be starters in the ACC until their junior year.

None of these players are any different than Scoop Jardine, Kris Joseph or Rick Jackson. None of them were full time starters until their junior years. In fact, based on rankings, Jardine, Joseph & Jackson are actually a lot better.

Also, I never said they wouldn’t contribute. Those are your words, not mine. I am just saying this class is average. Need high end talent to maximize it. And we do not have that.

Jardine and Joseph were 6th men of the year both in the Big East and the country in their sophomore years. Jackson played a ton. You should probably quit now. You have no clue how good any of these guys will be even next year. Please stop saying that you do.

I am saying it is not an elite class. They can contribute and they can help. I am entitled to my opinion. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Telling me I don’t have a clue is also dumb. Our recruiting rankings are through the floor. We missed out on every top tier recruit from this class. And just because we have 5 guys, I’m supposed to feel confident they’ll be good from the start? Please.

And yes, they played 20 mpg as sophomores but they had a ton of help. This group doesn’t have any help. Therefore I do not believe they can be as effective in different roles.

Also, please tell me where I said none of these guys could contribute. You’re putting words in my mouth.

I don’t think this is a great class. I think it’s average. I have been wrong before and hope I’m wrong again. But based on numbers and evaluations, I do not see this group coming in and saving the day with a program that has consistently been middle of the pack in the ACC and a bubble team at best.

Young man has ups.

They’re going to have to play because there’s no one else.
You see there’s this thing called the transfer portal that over a thousand kids will enter this spring. There’s gonna be a lot of very viable players entering this spring that we could look at.
