When are these dudes getting on campus? Can we lock them in the dorms this summer and make them work out with the football team?
Put them in Fran's fall boot camp, nightly checks, locked in on South campus.
Anytime checks, get to know each other.
Up at dawn for morning workouts, then a good breakfast, and back to workouts.
A couple of weeks with the football team and they'll be ready to destroy their opponents.

I think we were the front runner, but Bama pivoted to Bristow once Duke got Coward.
I’m sure we are looking for that 6th starter type of role, thought Bristow fit well with the current roster. Maybe there is some traction with Agee and Foster Grant…let’s hope

The core roster is considerably better at this point than last season. But we appear to be having similar difficulty filling that last roster spot that would be expected to contribute 5-15 minutes a game.

I mean I’d hope it’s better then the team that won 12 games…

This last key player that we need must be snagged soon as he gets to campus, even if we have to overpay within reasonable limits. Hopefully, we’ve learned this by not closing on Bristow.

Here's my INMM* perspective as it relates to Red Sox baseball:

A team spends 250 million on salaries for the year, for 3-4 consecutive years. And the roster they construct only gets them a .500 record over that span. Is it an "overpay" if they spend 280 by paying 20 more than they wanted to for one or two elite contracts and that gets them into the playoffs?

On one hand, you have the spreadsheets and values and what you think are 'team principles' regarding fiscal responsibility. On the other hand, you have a result: spending 250 million and not making the playoffs. Yes, you've still sold your tickets and your revenue has some sort of accountant's correlation to cost, but you're a team owner. There should be a 'passion' component involved in that ownership. It's sports not widgets.

5-15 minutes? No we need a talented 6th man who will play 25-35mpg.

I think we would’ve secured that player by now if that’s what the staff was looking for. I personally think that Kiyan and Sadiq are going to come in further along with their development than Donnie and Elijah. Though Donnie has the highest ceiling of all.

I agree. Sadiq has a very high ceiling, if he stays I could really see a Stacey Augmon type player. Someone who can change a game on defense. First year Stacy wasn’t a big offensive player, grew into a solid scorer and shooter in later years at UNLV. White has a high motor combined with elite athleticism. Can’t wait to watch him defend.
