I honestly think he will end up top 5, maybe top 2 in this class. Kid is the total package. His skill set is soooo much like DC it's scary...only a better handle. Not sure he has the same swagger, but the on the court skills are eerily similar.

He wanted a big stage to perform on. Saw the Dome Said this is it! Keeping in mind it's also the NBA launchpad he wanted.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this kid play a few times this season. BTW...I've got a very small piece of kind of insider information. I know one of the other sport coaches/teachers at his school and asked what they could tell me about him. "Great athlete. Better kid."

Apologies, if this has been discussed above somewhere, but has there been any talk of Darius transferring to a prep school for his senior year? Imagine that would be great for him to develop and get bigger against better competition. Would be awesome if he wound up at Brewster with Buddy!

These Ohio kids really seem to like pitching in with recruiting. I hope we stay active in Ohio moving forward. Who knows what other doors that could open and Griffen has connections there from his time at Dayton.

I want to point out that the staff is putting in big effort on Carey and is making smart and creative decisions like this to use a free official to have both of these kids spend some time together. They get almost no credit here but they are making all the right moves with Carey.

This was posted in the Carey thread first. Many posters praised the staff for this idea and the recruiting approach in general this summer.

That is an opinion likely held by a friend of a current assistant coach (am I right?). There is no doubt Hop worked (and continues to work) certain AAU circles for players. And given his status here as coach in waiting, and past successes, was likely given more of a say in recruiting than the other coaches. They may feel more empowered now - which is good, they should.

But to say it's a great day, is nonsense.
