LSU is a player here. The football component is a huge draw now in which they are pairing the football and basketball together to help with recruiting. These “football” schools are getting better with recruiting at schools like Alabama, Auburn and Lsu because they know how cool it is to bring a basketball kid to a football game with 100k and make them feel like they will be the hottest thing on the court and the “community support” is nonstop. Hopefully that makes sense but this has been ramped up the last couple years BC basketball leans on football to help close the deal with better recruits

Yeah, but that's basically a pandemic-related one-off (or 2-off).

Normally, JB wouldn't even allow a kid to commit until after he had visited.
Clearly that wasn't an option for a while there.
