Bethea was a great prospect, would have liked to land him. But this ship has sailed, now that we have Moore / Anthony. Don't see how Bethea would fit anymore.

Looking at his stat lines and your comments about defense, he sounds like he could be JJ Jr.

Or he makes a sophomore leap and shows out next season.

For the right price, I’d say take him. Previous relationship and didn’t do great last year so maybe not as hot a commodity?

I get where you’re coming from. My JJ Jr comment wasn’t a compliment. Inefficient on offense and a traffic cone on defense.

But if a 5 star talent wants to come here, I cross my fingers the coaches can actually coach next year and/or maybe just playing on a horrible Miami team doesn’t motivate a player to go all out.

The last couple years, we had too many guys at the same positions (and not enough guys for other positions). Do we really need 4 or 5 shooting guards out of 11 or 12 guys?

I would like for us to go for more physically mature athletes with high basketball IQ and willingness to play D. Of course, that's who everyone wants.

I assume Fennell and Kiyan will get some minutes, but they are still just freshman. Moore is still TBD and I assume JJ is staying.

So if Moore leaves, that would leave JJ/Kiyan at the 2 and starting portal point/Fennell at the 1. I could see room for Bethea in that scenario.

He’s also a little soft. There’s nothing that makes you think he’s tough. Red needs to bring in someone with a little edge to their game.

But even if Red tells him as much and JJ is cool with it, will portal targets we are looking at trust they can come in and be the main guy(s)? Or will they hesitate to come aboard since JJ is still here?
