I still contend one of the biggest roars ever at the Dome was Melo talking about staying in school for four years during the title celebration event.

We have a long way to go this season but, since this thread is about the future, I think next year the key is using NIL money to get a TOP NOTCH portal point guard and center.

If we can get a top 30 player and a top 100 player every high school recruiting class, we will be ok.

The amount of eyeballs this is getting will shift the program so much. BR Hoops has it tagged at the top of their bag with 23million followers. I don’t want to wish away a year already but man oh man 2025 is going to be nuts

I'm having fantasies of the current group starting to become cohesive, a tourney berth this year, Red really coming into his own as a HC, and some big time hype coming into '25-26.

The really nice thing about Kiyan's progression and recruitment was that we were all able to track his progress from the time he first touched a basketball knowing there was a 90%+ chance he would end up at the Cuse.

Quite different from when some 9th grader says he is a Cuse fan.....we all know how those usually turn out.

We are on our way back - we are finally accumulating enough talent to get back into the Top 20 !!! Should be there within the next two years. It will be really great if we can get two years or more out of Freeman, White, and Kiyan (I also have a really good feeling about Fennell), will need some overlap and experience to really gel.

Like having a big point guard who can handle, pass, and shoot. Plus from his film he doesn't mind contact when he drives to the hoop. Looks to finish with the score at the rim.

I’m excited, but in today’s world of college athletics we will have no idea what our roster will look like until September.

Melo is a very well liked, well respected member of the basketball community. Not just in Cuse Nation but almost universally everywhere.

Lots of eyes will be on our program next year. And it should pay dividends with someone like Donnie Freeman who may want to come back or not. Plus transfer dudes.

Plus, the attendance and the atmosphere in the Dome should be elevated and hopefully our schedule reflects that.

Having Melo around may expand our international reach. Melo is generally regarded as one of the best, if not the best, scorer in the history of international basketball.

Don't sleep on the Aussie coming in and being the guy at point guard next year. Fundamentals and size go a long way.
Plus he has played at a high level with the Australian National youth teams and won.
