His team was down 20+ points in the 1st half, then with him leading them, they totally flipped that in the 2nd half.26 points in 20 minutes is impressive at any level, and it looks like his team really dominated. 75% FG% in the 2nd vs 42% for the other team. Did the other team play both ends of the court?
I washed every possession of that game. The dome is gonna be crazy next year. Those two guys that are going to Syracuse that played in that game. They are both ing good. Sadiq White reminds me of Dennis Rodman or something just standing underneath the basket able to go after every rebound. Did you guys see two or three of those NBA styles step back three-pointers that are unguardable by Anthony? Anthony can probably play one through three and if he grows a little bit, maybe four. He’s really ing good.Sadiq White was good in the minutes he played too. Good defense, hustled, shot 4 for 5 with 2 for 2 free throws and 10 points in 13 minutes.
Watching the game, Kiyan earned the MVP with his performance. 100 percent.Dad being a Jordan brand guy and being in the building with a video tribute for him might have factored into the MVP as well
I think it was Benny at the Iverson game seemed lost and totally out of place, not the case here with both of our guys. How many of these games in the past stretch of rough years have we watched our commits be somewhat unimpressive? I’ve lost count. Now for a change both Kiyan and White stood out. Kiyan a a big time scorer and White defending and jumping out of the gym. Fun to watch

Before that we had Bazley at the McD game announce a road less traveled.
The left hand crap is so funny. I have a better off hand still due to forced coaching to work on it. Mikan drill, dribble drills with tennis balls etc. I laugh whenever people compliment off hands. That should be expected for a D-1 player. When I was in high school, the first few weeks of practice all the layup lines were on the left side using your left hand.
Forced you to get used to using your left hand.
After watching the highlights, my two takeaways were the appropriate finishes with the left hand and the sweet three-point stroke. The left hand finishes were a site for sore eyes. And Sadiq had a good game also but played less minutesThe left hand crap is so funny. I have a better off hand still due to forced coaching to work on it. Imagine being impressed when one of our Lax players passes or scores on an-off hand
It’s an All Star Game and maybe it was just me but did we realize how good Kiyan can be? His ability to score is going to translate at the college level.
Gotta say that Kiyan has really improved his game. A couple of those step back 3s were sweet. He can Contribute next year for sure.
Looks like a very skilled scorer. I’m impressed.
heres a list of former jordan brand classic MVPs:Kiyan might be that instant offense 6th man off the bench.
its so obvious that this team needs some big bodies...I hope they can look overseasI’m very excited about our guards.
George, Kingz, Starling, Anthony and Fennell has the potential to be a truly elite group of players, rotating through 3 positions.
I’m really excited about forward too, Freeman and White are really good forwards, probably splitting time with our big guards at SF a bit, when we want to play bigger than Kingz can give us.
I’m concerned about our teams height and weight at the big man spots… I like both players, especially their length and athleticism, but Kyle and Souare would look a lot better with another big man to push them both down the center depth chart.
Deng wasn’t that solution, but at least he was 6’9 and bouncy. Ultimately, a bunch of 6’9 guys that are athletic and long limbed but under 230lbs isn’t a solution to having a true center. At least we have Freeman, White, Kyle and Souare to rotate from PF and C.
And with Cabiles going, we have a shot at guys who are here over the summer gaining substantial muscle weight. This should improve their ability to withstand the rigors of playing center in the ACC. Frankly, if Kyle was listed at 245 instead of 235, and Souare at 240 instead of 230, their extra mass would make me feel better. Same with Freeman and White.
My nightmare is injury or foul trouble causes us to put White at center for the last ten minutes of a game that is close, and we lose by more than ten because he gets pushed around while having to play out of position. I still have nightmares about Maliq Brown against Clemson.
Say what you will about Lampkin, but nobody big boyed us last season.
Well, you’ve had decades working that wristGreat players, but they will have to bulk up quite a bit to handle the college game. Their biceps are like my wrists.
Do you mean masturbating?Well, you’ve had decades working that wrist
Shh. Take the Seinfeld routeDid you mean masturbating?
He hit a stretch in the second half where he was on FIRE.Holy moly! Young Mr. Anthony with an MVP performance! I am going to watch the replay now. Man! That is something big! I don't think we necessarily need another wing shooter after a game like that.
Sadiq looked like the best athlete in the game. Kiyan looked like a guy that his teammates looked to, to take over the game offensively.Just watched the replay. Anthony had that hot streak with about 9-10 minutes left in the game. But overall, it was a quiet 20+ points, kind of like a Lawrence Moten game.
Saddiq White looked very rangy and athletic. He really competed. Big guys are seldom thrown the ball in these kinds of games, but I thought he looked really good. Somewhere between Jesse Edwards and Chris McCullough, in terms of body type, mobility, etc. He even played a bit of defense, but didn't look like a shot blocker. Definitely a contributor next year.
