God blessed me n so many way I can honestly say with out The Lord I wouldn't b n this situation. Life has been crazy for me but it's also been a eye opener and blessing because all the trials and situations that happened n my life ,got me right. Them situations made me grow up real fast, it made me realize that I cnt be selfish n any way because I got my brothers , sister,family member,a son & daughter, and little kids watching me and looking up to me. So I gotta show them the right way . Man this picture tells it all, because I'm Remember when I commit to Syracuse people didn't believe n me,they say I was to small and Etc but I just kept my head down and grinded. I remember goin n Syracuse weight room n the morning and running extra upstairs on the treadmill and I always us to look on the wall full I pictures like Dwight freeney & Marvin Harrison & mcnabb &will Allen at the history of star athletes from Syracuse that went to the nfl and made a name for themselves and I always told myself that ima make that wall no matter what it takes, and it's crazy because today is been a rough day for me and then I get this pic from my coach, coach hicks and my bro Ryan Gilly and it made me realize that whatever ur goin thru n life pain, stress, hurt and etc. It only last temporarily because god won't put u thru more than u can handle and I honestly believe that. It's been a journey and it's a lot more to come but man I love this journey because it take a lot of blood,swear &tears but what make it special is that only a few people can go thru all that and those who go thru it are successful. I'm so blessed I'm truly blessed And my level of grind is about to b insane because the journey has just began.‪#‎syracusefootball‬ I love Syracuse ‪#‎d_iv_g‬

Not afraid to admit it, that made my eyes a little watery.

I'm so happy that he not only made it to the NFL but has done really well. I was so nervous, I think the last two games of the season when he had a concussion and what looked like another one. I thought, please don't let this impact his ability to get drafted.

I remember watching Shamarko from the stands at his last home game against Louisville. Gross and coaches were recognizing seniors before the start of the game. He was SO emotional. Stood out from all the way where I was sitting. I was like, man, if this kid doesn't have a great day today it won't be from a lack of all out effort. And Syracuse goes out and routs Louisville. Great day. Glad he came here to play.
