I hate to speculate, but as more details emerge, I find it hard to believe the AD didn't know what was going on. And if he didn't, it's his job to know. That 50k->90k raise is enough suspicion to do some due diligence. What a terrible situation, and it makes you think about what's going on that never sees public attention.

Heard today on the news that the relationship was reported to the school earlier in the year, but both participants denied it.

Poor guy? The guy had everything and went out of his way to destroy it and humiliate his family and an entire institution. But I guess he’s the real victim.

If Moore had simply owned his infidelity, apologized publicly and sucked it up, he obviously would have been fired by Michigan, but he probably would have been coaching again in 2-3 years at a G5 level and could carry on with his life. Americans forgive that pretty quickly (Rick Pitino, Huge Freeze etc. etc.).

But now he's probably too toxic to ever hire again.
