Morgan's not dumb. He knew what shape Shrader was in, he also knew he was behind CDRW. I'm sure his place was made clear to him. If he was the clear no.1 backup, he would have stayed for the opportunity.

Yes I do. He wants to play QB at the highest level possible, that's what was in his mind. I don't think he thought he could displace Shrader, but having to be the third option was not going to cut it. Lamson left because he thought he should have at least been given a serious shot at starting, Morgan left because he thought he should be the first gut off the bench.

Obviously don't see practice but I personally always thought Morgan was better in his limited time at QB than CDRW was. Really makes you wonder what goes on in practice. Morgan could at least throw a forward pass.

I'd take his true freshman numbers right now over anyone on the roster

Completed 31-of-49 passes on the season for 285 yards and two touchdowns and 2 ints. (vs Wake, BC and LVille.)

Just goes to show how poorly the coaches, media and us as fans are evaluating the players we get. If cdrw has a cannon then it’s filled with wet gun powder. Would love to see our staff talk about nassibs arm. They would call it a nuclear missile

but sitting injured guys against teams you can't beat so you can get them healthy for teams you can beat is good.

I said something similar to this based on game script and deficit. Once Shrader got TKO'd vs Clemson he didn't need to play the next two games.
