Thank you for the reply. Glad he is pushing his degree, sorry he could not finish it in Syracuse. However, when life hands out an opportunity like Shy has now, HC of a high school team, the "right" thing to do is likely stay in MA and complete his degree there. Working both ends against the middle can work out well for people. To answer the question he has been taking classes to finish his degree. He hasn’t finished yet. He may transfer his credits now to umass for his degree just to speed it up. He would have to return to Syracuse to live there and attend school according to his Syracuse counselor so right now that is on hold. He is working at the high school as a teachers assistant with troubled teens and special needs kids. He coached linebackers and running backs the last two years. This is a great opportunity for him. Excited and nervous for him lol. Hopefully this will be a big first step to his coaching career! Thanks everyone for the support!
Besides, he knows what it takes to succeed and coaching troubled kids and helping them stay out of trouble is probably better for them than most others because he knows what they are going through and how to overcome. He can hold them to no excuses because he was there.
Please keep us posted on his progress. Please stay in his corner pushing him forward. He has a lot of people behind him even if he does not know it.
