Signing Day Drama

Better than Michigan's...

In which world?

247 Composite: Michigan #35, Syracuse #63
Scout: Michigan #36, Syracuse #48
Rivals: Michigan #56, Syracuse #62 (missing 2 UofM commits)

Michigan: 7 4-stars (out of 14 commits)
Syracuse: 0 (out of 26 commits)

Come on, I'm a Syracuse man first, but your post is just plain idiotic.

Don't do that. You're better than name calling

Last time I looked at scouts SU was at 44 and Michigan was at 45. Must have changed.

What world? That's easy to show...Syracuse has a #48 ranked class. Michigan has a #56 ranked class. These are from your own stats above, man that was easy. You just gotta get a little more orange tint in your glasses. ;)

Doesn't really matter. Michigan's class stinks compared to their division rivals.

Michigan ended up 5th in the conference according to 247. 3rd if you go by average player rating, good for 18th in the country.

With a class of 14 (had 15 spots), still had more 4-stars than everyone except OSU and PSU, beating Michigan State who had 7 more commits, and beating Wisconsin by 5 who had 5 more commits.

And this was all done in two weeks.

This board in general seems to have a toxicity to it recently. Not just you personally but I find the amount of pot shots lobbed between posters abhorrent. Suffice to say it's not needed to argue a point

It's basketball season. This board seems to go to hell every year during basketball season.

Michigan State, Penn State and Ohio State are around 20 spots ahead. Look to 2016 and the trend continues.

During bad one's it seems. But still probably not the impression you want to leave on any fellow SU poster much less one that just allowed his son to play football @ SU and sign on the dotted line today. Save it for the trolls instead. You put in solid work when they come around.

So it's Michigan's fault they only had room for 15 players?

USC has taken classes around that size the last 3 seasons
2012 - 15 players, #8 overall class
2013 - 12 players, #13 overall class
2014 - 19 players, #10 overall class

You can still take in a small class and compensate with quality over quantity.

I'm not a recruitnik, but I'm impressed. I'll be interested to see what he can do with a full recruiting cycle. I'll be even more interested to see what he does with the class of 2017 since he'll have the chance to establish relationships with them.

I thought Harbaugh was a great hire for Michigan and that he would kill it in recruiting until I saw the picture of him playing the piccolo like the Pied Piper. Imagine Bo Schembechler or Woody Hayes or Scott Shafer doing that. There seems to be something not quite right with him. Apparently Jake Pickard agrees with me.

My world, because in it, I'm the only one that matters. Actually, that's not true. My previous post was solely meant to irritate you.

Personally, I've seen better love coming from an Auburn fan towards Alabama than some of the Syracuse fans towards their own team.

I had more to say. Fortunately, I realized that it was not beneficial.

Don't let some of these people get under your skin. I don't have good words for many of our "fans".

The good news is that this is the best Syracuse sports website/forum. jekelish is catching up though... ;)

So let me get this straight, you try to troll me with a post that you said yourself was meant to irritate me. I respond in-kind with actual facts and point out that the *post* was idiotic, and you're going to show indignation and complain about not getting better love?

Ok then.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think this level of recruiting is unacceptable. Last recruiting ranking I've seen has us 61st, and class rankings tend to be skewed toward larger classes and only two schools have a larger class than us outside the top-10, so really, in overall quality it's lower than that.
You are in the minority- after a 3-9 season that saw the OC bite the dust mid season this is a very good class.

He's right. This board is doom and gloom too much of the time. Instead of being amped about the really quality young men (like his son) - we have multiple posts where people have gotten into arguments about stars and class rankings.

A Syracuse man first? After reading your posts the last couple of years, I don't think so. You can drop the act Mr. Blue.

We have a 3-9 football team that has a recruiting class that is the consensus worst in the ACC. I don't think doom and gloom is unreasonable.
