I agree it wasn't exciting, but if another conference, outside of the PAC-12, sent two unranked teams to the championship game, we'd say it's a conference. If it's the BE, it's a sign of conference strength. It's a double standard.

But the BE tourney champion gets an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The regular-season champion does not.

I wish they woudl create a 1AA division for the lower majors, (from conferences that have never made the Final Four) and then give automatic bids to teams that won or tied for their conference regulars season title and to teams that won their conference tournaments. Then fill out the field based on RPI. Everyone would know where they stand and what the potneital imapct of each game is.
