So how do we win this game?

Little known walk on QB Deric Ungey comes in if the offense struggles along with surprise late transfers Pughtin Just, Steve Phillips and Ervin Ishmael as late roster additions.

The NCAA won't have paper trails to reference in dispute due to their policy of any fax with an SU cover letters going directly into the trash

Both defenses are going to go gunning for the QB. Both offenses will respond with quick outs, screens, quick passes across the middle, pitchouts and delayed handoffs. Whoever gets traction On offense first and can get the other team to call off the dogs on defense gets the upper hand.

We can be dealing with rain tomorrow. That might slow the game down some. It will be interesting to see how the new OC will operate, create space for both TD and JJ and how he will make adjustments. Lots to see tomorrow.
This is such a critical part that I think was missed in the last few years is the adjustments. Do we fix what isn’t working or keep banging our heads against the wall?

Their HC is Mack Brown so there is always a chance.

I don’t get the UNC hype this year. I don’t think we win but how is a 7-6 team all of a sudden unbeatable? They have a good QB but we know that you need more than that alone.

This year with the mess on O, young D, and new Coordinators I think we need to white knuckle games if we want any chance at a Bowl. Don’t see us winning a shootout with UNC.

This never makes sense to me.

How does white knuckling give us a better chance?

We will struggle to keep TD upright if we come out slinging. UNC will have zero problem covering the spread in that case. Shouldn’t be hard to follow.

We will be lucky to break 20 points. So the best way to keep UNC under that number is by going slow.

Sorry , I have a different definition of “white knuckling “

1. Win turnovers
2. Pressure Howell but stay disciplined and don't give him running lanes
3. OL (I have an odd feeling it's going to be better then expected)
4. Tommy's arm
5. Special teams need to be special again

Need all of these to get out with a W imo.

I can't agree with this.

This is a losing way of thinking about things. We'll be "lucky" to break 20 points? 3 TDs the whole game? Against a team that was one of the worst defenses in college football last season?

We may very well have clunker games where we score less than 20, but we should never, ever, go into a game thinking that's all we'll score. We've lost before we've already stepped on the field.

Jawhar might get 3 TD’s himself.

In the first half.

It could happen.

We're gonna go inside, we're gonna go outside, inside and outside. We're gonna get 'em on the run boys and once we get 'em on the run we're gonna keep 'em on the run. And then we're gonna go go go go go go and we're not gonna stop til we get across that goalline. This is a team they say is... is good, well I think we're better than them.

You don’t watch the games so you might not realize how bad we are on O

I disagree. We have a system on offense that runs on tempo and takes what the defense gives. Deviating from what we know is a clear recipe for disaster. If we lose playing our game, we tip our hat and go home, but this is game one of eleven and we also need to view this as a step towards improved play each week.
