Doug can continue to coach from the far end of the field if he wants to. Doug can continue to remain mute during games. Doug is the head coach and he can do whatever he wants as long as he wins. If he doesnt begin to win soon we will be discussing another Coaches actions during the game

Rather than sitting on the sideline with his best DERP face, I could see some benefit if Marrone light up a player after his third boneheaded off-sides penalty...or maybe after their umpteenth dropped pass.

I know Doug said his stoic demeanor is to protect the players and not humiliate them publicly. Quit being their friend. Be their coach. Maybe some of his emotion could spread to the players...

Doug saves the fire for when they return from a late night Turning Stone trip.
