i think thats a fair comparison. But these guys are even worse than those teams. And they usually do more with so much less.

Probably true, but the one thing that Nova had going for it in the past was at least one miracle-worker guard, something they seem to lack this year. Then again, maybe Jay Wright read too many of his own clippings about being a great coach.

Nova had a pretty favorable road, USF, who they played twice and lost but the 1st time they were awful, the second when they were playing better was without waayns, then would be ND who they were killing before they couldn't score in the second half

All four games were basically duds today in terms of competitiveness. But certainly helped the 9 or 10 in scenario.

I think Jay Wright has earned a one year hall pass...its just too bad for Nova that he'll probably leave in the off season. If he doesn't...and has another down year... then the offers stop coming.

I could totally see Pitt winning the next two days, setting up a potential matchup with SU on Friday. That would no doubt have some feeling a little uncomfortable.

Eh not too sure about that. Look at that roster. What teams in the BE are less telented? I'll give you DePaul, USF, Rutgers, Providence, and even ND possibly. Tough to win more than 5 games in the BE with crappy talent. Oh well, keep giving us the top Philly guards!

Did Nova go hard after a player or two and just miss? If so, that would explain the tough year because if you put a lot of effort into a certain player and the backup plan B has average or below average talent, you get hit when you don't have the talent to cover the the bad recruiting year or Wright made some bad or not so good evaluations and ended up with a hodge podge type of team that didn't mesh.

folding is putting it kindly. they crashed and burned. got very lucky to win their 1st round game 2 years ago as a 2 seed.
