We know that means nothing this time of year, but even in the last couple games when we struggled, you have to be real happy with the adjustments made and the way our guys reacted and came through down the stretch. People talk about the transformations of Melo and Dion and that has been a huge part of our success, but you have to love a healthy KJ and the things he can do. That lineup of Melo, KJ, CJ, Dion and BT is very fun to watch.

We'll know how good we really are when we welcome Mike Rosario and his new Florida teammates into the Dome next weekend.

Exactly, let's not forget the game after that with Marshall coming in. 5-0 now having upset Cincy today at Cincy. They are pretty good too.

Highly doubt this. Duke will jump us.

Glass half-full: we have a brilliant mastermind who gets credit for making adjustments and applying the full court press to win the game.
Glass half-empty: why do we have to be in dire straits before our coach grows a set of cajones and applies on-the-ball pressure? What is JB so scared of? That his beloved zone might not be the best weapon for his group of thoroughbreds?

sorry for your loss blue curtain. The cards almost did it for you.

And making those adjustments against a team that will be ranked before year end.

Referring to Stanford? I dunno; Virginia Tech was more impressive. Stanford doesn't look like a top-25 team, but we'll see.

Seconding this. If any other team was #6 we would have moved up. But not with the attention Duke gets. We stay at #5.

Fair, I think. I hate Duke, but they beat two good teams this week. We beat two teams that are probably a little less than good.

IMO we are not a top 10 team the last two games. I will take it but still.

IMO Maybe not even a sweet 16 on nights when KJO, Dion and Triche don't get on the floor toghther for atleast half the game.

Thats ok though this team has much more potential to bloom where last years team didn't as the year went on. Melo, Southerland, Fair MCW, and Rak could step up.

Because the game was still close and if they break the press they get layups or foul shots! If he uses the press at the 10min and they go on a run then what?

Point 1 - your rationale reeks of fear and cowardice. We might give up a basket - oh no let's crawl into a shell! JB coaches scared, and it rubs off on some of the yokels.
Point 2 - a smarter press would not give up the so-called easy layups. we are the only team that sends all 5 players into the backcourt.

have you watched anyone else play? if so, how do you substanstiate this silly opinion?

On point 1: LOL! This is basketball and its called strategy something you clearly don't understand! Cowardice or crawling into a shell would be not pressing at all! Be since we DID press we can only be talking about the strategy of when to press and again clearly you don't understand that!

Regarding your second point: If you guard the inbound you have to play 5 up if not someone we always be open! We guard the inbounder with long athlete to make the first pass harder and hopefully go to the corner and we have one of the best presses in the country year in and year out (some years are better than others of course) but I've read enough of your post to know JB is always wrong in your eyes even when we win!

You need to watch some other teams play press. Apparently you live under a rock. When a press relies on surprise as its biggest weapon, that's a flawed approach right off the bat. How do other teams manage to press more than a few minutes a game?

You should go cheer for those teams.

Name 3 teams that press better than SU
