Strange thread. There is a mix of gloating and calling a spade a spade. How is this thread though different from the threads people like to tee up with comments like "this didn't age well or time to eat your crow"? Is it a if you are in the "majority" it's not gloating and ok to do the calling out of posts that don't age well? Then again to the OP is this a hill your willing to die on so to speak? I have no problem with the OP. People are understandably pissy right now because of how the season has gone, but let's learn our lesson. When someone makes a prediction we don't like, don't take it personally, get all emotional about it, and jump all over them. I know I didn't agree with him, but he's obviously more accurate than me. Does anybody think he actually wanted us to go 3-9? If people are gonna jump all over someone for expressing an opinion that turns out to be pretty close to accurate, I have no problem with them being called out.

i understand it. the gloating is not about su having a horrible season. it is about the way they are treated for saying it, and the satisfaction that many of those posters who were rude and arrogant toward him/her were wrong. funny how most of those folks never come back and say anything about it

So you are saying Cherie and the Michigan guy trashed you or are you saying they were trashed as well? Anyway, if the Michigan guy trashed you, just respond that the brick practice facility in Ann Arbor looks like a storage building for construction equipment. This is true, by the way.

That aside, let me share a story with you. Around 1994 I made a prediction on the old AOL board that I thought we would have a hard time against a particular team. BEES responded with something like “gee, I don’t know. You really think so?”

I was emotionally destroyed by his dismissal. Then he mentioned that Quinton Spotwood was injured and he was going to share it with the world. I begged him to reconsider, largely because this was 1994 we’re talking about and Spot was several years away from even setting foot on campus. I had no idea who he was talking about.

As it turned out I was right, but it took me 25 years of therapy to let it go. It has been a long road and it involved a lot narcotics or alcohol or something. I lost my job, I lost my family, and I can’t seem to find my car keys at the moment. It is all kind of a blur. I urge you to let it go as well. Don’t walk the path I walked.

I'm not opposed to the idea of giving yourself credit for an opinion you took a lot of heat on (Lord knows lots of other people have done it), but you AT LEAST have to actually bump the thread so we know what you're talking about.
