Someone Had To Do It: Miami Attendance

not only that but fran simply being out in the community in syracuse helps. Dino was noticeably absent. Fran volunteering in the community and showing up at local football games matters. Not to mention, he's got a young son who's involved in local sports and he'll have a daughter not far behind. He understands the benefits of community involvement -- Dino was a military brat who was never invested in any community. It's not a knock but just a reflection of their upbringings. And Fran's is much more relatable to the people he recruits and our fans.
I went to Heritage Hill a couple of times for the Dino show. He made a bee line for the door when the show was over. In He couldn’t wait to get out of there. Fran hangs around and talks to people. It makes a difference

Growing up in the area..."big games" were the norm from before I can remember, so it was obvious you'd bug your family to get up early and drive to the dome

For anyone under 18, Syracuse football has been a joke. It's going to take time to get the younger fans back into the loop.

Not to mention, growing up there was no Gameday type shows pimping the SEC and Big 10, it's much easier to be a fan of a school outside your region. I think I could see every BOISE STATE game this year if I wanted.

They do love the circular urinal though
Apologies for crossing the streams, but do you mean this?

That is the implication as I've never heard otherwise. If you have information you can share I'd genuinely like to hear it.
I have information and no I can’t share my source.

Dino hit the lottery with the 2018 team. Sadly we all were duped that a new era was upon us.
Eric masked our OL problems , TD came in and couldn’t do the same. Covid came next. That wasn’t the end though October of 22 was the end , we are beating Clemson soundly at half on the verge of going 7-0 and hitting the top 10. We lost that game with some bizzare officiating and although Dino got to 4-0 the next year things would never be the same.

Dino seemed to think of fans as a nuisance, except on game days when he wanted the Dome filled. Not the type of personality we need in the NIL era for sure.

My understanding was after the firing, he more or less group texted the team. Most coaches say goodbye. Not all of it is publicized.

We don't need to rehash this... I've heard from someone that was on the staff that a good number of players (could have been the whole team or in groups, I can't say that for certain) were invited to his house the week after the last game of the year after they had wrapped up the regular season.

Regardless, I think we should collectively move on.

I definitely felt like a nuisance when I met him after a spring game.
My daughter met him and his daughter in a chance meeting . She had the opposite experience. I’ve heard others say the same. So I guess it’s your personal experience.
