Agreed. And….can we not devise a cool light show for the team’s entrance. Look at what Georgia does….outside. No reason why we can’t come up with something better.

The Lions do a thing called “the Cub Cam” where they find cute babies in the crowd wearing Lions gear and everyone cheers and says “awwww.”

I feel like that would be way better than a kid shouting LGO with their mouth 1 centimeter from the microphone.

The non resale price, so regular tickets from the university, as I understand it, is priced by the University and not Ticketmaster.

Part of the reason for the massive increase
In single game prices, is that they really want to drive home the value of season tickets.

Not sure I agree with the strategy as I think they’ve priced themselves out a bit

I thought they were using dynamic pricing now, which I wouldn't expect SU to be able to achieve on their own.

Either way if my seasons cost $82.15 per game, SU shouldn't be charging over 2x that amount for single tix to UConn. Even pricing is at $100 is a good discount for a STH. So whether it is SU, TM, or a consultant, they need to fix this.

I think for most people, getting the app open, navigating to the special part of the app and then understanding that you have to take a video to get it to sync is a bit daunting.

So we get people that want to participate, so they just put their flashlight on and then it doesn’t sync to the music.

I hope they don’t give up on getting something like this to work, but changes needed to be made.

Resales moving quicker than regular at this point. We’re down about 200 regular ones in the last 20 hours or so. Verified resales have come down in price.

They should use the little rfid bands they use for concerts. They would be really cool for a night game. A corporate could sponsor them and you’d have a really cool experience without the trouble.

If SU counts people in the building and tickets sold, I think we will be well over 40k. But if it is tickets scanned it will be well below.

A few games this year I have had to sell tickets I wasn't going to use. Ticketmaster always had a suggested price that was way too high. The price I listed was always well below that price and if there were no bites I had to lower it the day before to the price I paid for it (so my net was a loss after TM took 10%).

I listed two for Miami where the TM suggested price was $225 for $150. They sold right away. When I looked at the ticket map this morning I noticed that those tickets were listed for resale at $275. Which makes me wonder was this a ticket broker looking to make a flip? If they are using the same suggested price predictor that TM uses, it could be. That would also explain all those rows with resales still left.

One would think that TM had an accurate suggested price given all the data they have but whatever they use is waaaaay off. Has been all season. So if they are off with the resales, it makes you wonder if they are improperly pricing the regular tickets for SU. My section I see tickets (non resale) for $167. No one is paying that. If all the ticket prices are off, it is no wonder we see so many unsold right now.

SU might want to look into this. Maybe the low attendance this year is more TM overpricing the tickets than lack of interest.

You should never use their "suggested price" tool, it exists to give you a number that your tickets will definitively sell at, and generally is low enough that someone would see it and immediately purchase them.

What are you even trying to say here? My point had NOTHING to do with resale. SU charging $165 for a UConn game is not going to be sold. There are seats near me that haven't been sold all year long. That is a fail. Why would SU set a price 2x what a STH paid for them to a non attractive game?

I know you do this for a living but your assuming things. Look at the data and you will think SU is getting this wrong.

I buy more A level seats than I need every year. I try and get friends and family to use them all but 3-4 games a year I have to sell. The FCS non parents weekend games typically go for $40-$60 resale. So SU cannot be charging $125 for single games for these. They won't sell. For G5 games they typically go for $60-$75. ACC/P4 non big games $75-$100. There are too many tickets on the market for SU to be charging $150+ to these types of games. That is my experience in A level seats the last 15 or so years.

Wow. Pretty wild the difference between that and ticket master. I am not an expert with this stuff. Is stub hub resale and ticket master is not?

The first one people see when they google Syracuse tickets is almost always ticketmaster.

You have to keep some level of price integrity for the "biggest game in years". You can't just drop prices to $20 because fans will then expect it and wait to buy tickets until game time.

There aren't that many seats left, and $70 isn't a crazy price to get in.

70 is a lot to pay for the back corner of the endzone. Closer to 90 just to be at the very top of the upper seats on the side of the field (at least on the Cuse website and Ticketmaster). That is a lot for the cheap seats. Especially for average people in this area.

Same here...

My feeling is to re-sell my tix at a fair price and move on. If I break even or make a slight profit...Great. Why I try to first sell to folks here first.

I felt guilty selling garbage HC tix at a premium but putting up with obnoxious parents and students invading my section pacified my guilt.

I must of done 40 "up- downs" during live action.
