70 is a lot to pay for the back corner of the endzone. Closer to 90 just to be at the very top of the upper seats on the side of the field (at least on the Cuse website and Ticketmaster). That is a lot for the cheap seats. Especially for average people in this area.
If you Syracuse is too expensive, I encourage you to look at some comparable stadiums around the country.
Here's what each has their cheapest ticket on Ticketmaster. Most are resale:
GT at Georgia - $94
Texas at Texas A&M - $677
Michigan at Ohio State - $215
Tennessee at Vanderbilt - $299.32
Florida at Florida State - $175
South Carolina at Clemson - $151
Auburn at Alabama - $133
Mississippi State at Ole Miss - $79
Notre Dame at USC - $52.98
Miami at Syracuse - $50.31
NC State at UNC - $49
Arizona State at Arizona - $47
Kansas at Baylor - $38
Houston at BYU - $31
Cal at SMU - $24.47
Louisville at Kentucky - $24
Arkansas at Missouri - $20
Duke at Wake Forest - $10
I don't think anyone lower has a game of real consequence. You're indoors, all good sight lines... I don't think it's ridiculous to charge what 3 meals at chipotle costs for a ticket to a game of this magnitude... Hell, they're giving $65 lower bowl tickets away.
