Someone Had To Do It: Miami Attendance

You have to keep some level of price integrity for the "biggest game in years". You can't just drop prices to $20 because fans will then expect it and wait to buy tickets until game time.

There aren't that many seats left, and $70 isn't a crazy price to get in.
70 is a lot to pay for the back corner of the endzone. Closer to 90 just to be at the very top of the upper seats on the side of the field (at least on the Cuse website and Ticketmaster). That is a lot for the cheap seats. Especially for average people in this area.

I have found this year that the suggested price is too high. I have gone below and had trouble selling the tickets I haven't used.
Same here...

My feeling is to re-sell my tix at a fair price and move on. If I break even or make a slight profit...Great. Why I try to first sell to folks here first.

I felt guilty selling garbage HC tix at a premium but putting up with obnoxious parents and students invading my section pacified my guilt.

I must of done 40 "up- downs" during live action.

If I were still buying I would probably wait until about 8 tonight. Might drop a little more ( if your looking for lowest possible entrance )

Why the dome ushers can’t patrol this to some degree is beyond me

Nice people for the most part but they don't leave the top of the section unless it's an emergency. There might as well be no one there.

This is the current non resale TM map. There are some sections that have rows of available seats followed by rows with no seats followed by rows of available seats. These are in the upper end zones. Upper midfield on the road side has a ton of seats too.

Agreed but UCONN was a disgrace.
Well, they should never be D-1 football. They are a basketball school. Its really not their fault. Mora is doing all he can with that program.

If you Syracuse is too expensive, I encourage you to look at some comparable stadiums around the country.

Here's what each has their cheapest ticket on Ticketmaster. Most are resale:
GT at Georgia - $94
Texas at Texas A&M - $677
Michigan at Ohio State - $215
Tennessee at Vanderbilt - $299.32
Florida at Florida State - $175
South Carolina at Clemson - $151
Auburn at Alabama - $133
Mississippi State at Ole Miss - $79
Notre Dame at USC - $52.98
Miami at Syracuse - $50.31
NC State at UNC - $49
Arizona State at Arizona - $47
Kansas at Baylor - $38
Houston at BYU - $31
Cal at SMU - $24.47
Louisville at Kentucky - $24
Arkansas at Missouri - $20
Duke at Wake Forest - $10

I don't think anyone lower has a game of real consequence. You're indoors, all good sight lines... I don't think it's ridiculous to charge what 3 meals at chipotle costs for a ticket to a game of this magnitude... Hell, they're giving $65 lower bowl tickets away.

There are plenty games of consequence that are cheaper. Also our game is the most expensive that is not a FB factory game.

That being said I generally agree with your premise that SU tix are not too expensive as a whole. There are however sections of the Dome that are too high.

I’d counter with: not many of those other schools only have 42,000 tickets

I always sell my tickets thru stub hub.
I don’t use Ticketmaster. Prices too high.
only problem with stub hub is you don’t get paid until after the game is played.

I would never tell people how to spend their money, but if people even plan on attending one game you are better off buying the $100 season tickets and just sell the rest, the complaining about prices just seems to me peoples failure to plan. Now if you are trying to come on a whim then so be it complain as much as your heart desires but the prices are still super reasonable regardless.

I feel SU is screwed using Ticketmaster for their Season Ticket Holders as well as 'resell/sell' through them. It's pretty much the worst interfaces, and even renewal interface I've seen... I just went to go look for my free GT tickets for SU Basketball and it says I still haven't renewed my tickets or selected auto-renewal when I know I have. Really annoyed about it. Now I have to go search my CC to find the transaction for the 8 payments etc. We all know it's a crappy interface and when we ask our dedicated agents' """""""""" <quotes they don't know either.
Anyhow... the student section expansion really ticks me off still, so Miami Attendance figures, no way it can include them. Axe just sent out 2800 tickets probably left...

40k likely number. Probably puts actual butts at 38-39. Hopefully we win and see an uptick in seasons for next year.
Agree... We may be surprised though and it is everyone else's loss when we kick Miami's arse if they are not there and say 'I remember...'

I disagree a bit. I love 300 level seating... I just didn't like it without those cool rails installed years ago... One of the issues with SYR vs other stadiums is that you cant spread the levels out, they have to go up higher/quicker. 10+ years later I'm still afraid of falling. I must be getting old. When did those railings get installed? lol. It's like the AC and wireless...

My understanding was after the firing, he more or less group texted the team. Most coaches say goodbye. Not all of it is publicized.
my understanding the text message said ua ha'alele i ka male.

Our LED lighting is just okay. Hopefully in 5 years they can add some bells and whistles
Yea i don't understand the point of having them if they don't utilize to full ability. Some of these SEC light shows after TD's and during break are insane. Ours are extremely weak in comparison.

SU sent an email about heavy traffic tomorrow and cited a large crowd for the game. We shall see.
