I agree that Wichita would be a shaky top seed and need to run the table to have a chance at it

Not bad and they had losses to Butler and someone else right? That just doesn't make a 1 seed IMO. reward them for a great season with lots of wins by making them a protected seed in the west but not a 1.

It came down to them, Miami or Duke. Duke probably had the best argument with 5 losses, but like this year the ACC was not great, and they won neither title.

Miami had 4 questionable losses to Florida Gulf Coast (who could have known before the tourney!), Indiana St, and two bad ACC teams in Wake and Georgia Tech.

I think a 2 last season for Gonzaga wouldn't have bothered anyone. 3 would have been fine as well IMO. We have to wait and see how things play out with Wich St this year but if they suffer even one loss the resume just isn't there. To have any chance at a 1 seed they need to be undefeated which in and of itself should make people understand how questionable that resume is. Again this is a resume thing not a how good are they thing IMO.

Don't disagree. It also depends on what happens in February. There was some craziness in the last 2/3 weeks last year that really weakened the 2 line.
