who works for a fairly big time agent. I asked him what he thought about Cuse guys.

He said he 'likes' but doesn't 'love' Pugh, but said that Pugh's almost definitely leaving after this year. He didn't even realize Justin had another year of eligibility because it was pretty much a sure thing.

He isn't too high on Nassib as a pro prospect, but he thinks he's helping himself with the big year and the senior bowl games will be huge for him.

I didn't have a chance to ask him much else based on the circumstances, but those were the first two guys to come up when I asked if he was looking at Cuse guys. I know he was a big fan of Derrell a few years ago as an undrafted guy.

Damn.. I really was hoping Pugh would lead us into the ACC..

seems though that if teams only "like" a oline guy would he get drafted high enough to want to leave? I see Dline guys leave early but there always seems to be lots of 5th yr SR oline guys.

if they dont even know what year he is are they really following him that closely. that sounds like late round very little guaranteed money.. but it only takes one team to be happy.

I think the confusion with his year came because he's listed as a senior academically combined with the fact that he's gone through all of the motions that would say "I'm going to declare", not to get too far into that.

Remember, this is only one guy's opinion, and I don't think he's followed him too closely as his agency probably isn't going to sign him. I don't think he was aware Justin is injured either, as he said that a long term injury might keep him in school.

If Pugh leaves with eligibility left, it will have little to nothing to do with his status in the draft. He will not be a 1st day selection (1st round) and it is highly unlikely that he would be a 2nd day (2nd-3rd rounds) selection. Further, the injury is not going to help matters. Much will depend on how he responds when he does return to the field.

At this point, no seniors or likely early entrants from Syracuse have a higher rating than 5th-7th rounds. Things can obviously change ... but Pugh, Lemon, Nassib, Sales, Goggins, and Thomas have work to do in order to get into the areas of the draft that come with significant signing bonuses.

What are the odds we actually have that many players drafted? I didn't even think about it, but those guys certainly all do have the potential to get picked.

It's a bit early to figure out ... but each has the possibility. Way too much depends on the play of each as the season unfolds and combine numbers for Sales, Thomas and Lemon especially.

Sales speed will be the big issue for him, I saw him last week and he has definitely bulked up a bit. Sales could be a Canada guy
