Steve Angeli: Torn Achilles

Hey all,
I need something to cling to throughout the rest of this season and the off and I know lots of y'all know more about sports way more than I.
So, can anyone give me an example of a football, basketball or baseball athlete that had the same injury Steve Angeli suffered and then fully rebounded in a year?
If so, did this individual return to original form after rehabilitation? How common is the injury S.A. suffered?
Does everyone here feel that with proper care Steve Angeli can return to full mobility come the 2026 football season?
Feeling really depressed right now.
OG had a lisfranc injury that could be just as bad, or worse. Came back, got drafted and now could be on NFL All-Rookie Team.

I think next year even with a healthy Angeli may not be the season people think it will. 1 player cannot tank a team as bad as we’ve tanked. Woof.
It was a snowball effect of one player. Without Angeli we became insanely easy to defend. The offense couldn't stay on the field. The defense was gassed beyond belief. And it all just builds off to what happened this season.

He's very decisive. I've been watching QBs hesitate all year. It's noticeable.
Also he just got here and in Tenn game I noticed just a bit of being unsure but he didn’t have all playbook down in my head. He started humming bye Clemson game and we would be 8-4 9-3 with him. Next year he will know it bye heart and hopefully we have a solid oline coach to fix our oline play and if we can run ball. We may be pretty good depending on who we get in portal. Need solid backup who can throw the ball at least a bit. Need 2 dt and 1 solid oline guy. Safety and lb too who can play.

This also shows that so many people claim QB issues were because they locked in on a WR. Many of these throws were locked in on one guy and a couple show other guys being more open. Throwing on time matters and not every throw does a QB look off safeties.

My peak as a QB was college intramurals so I'm not one to judge, but I can't figure out why Rickie couldn't make those routine inside slant throws for 10 yards that Angeli did over and over again vs. Clemson.
he made some nice slant throws. I think his issue was more identifying when to throw them.

Justuss Ross-Simmons could have had an all timer season if we had a qb this year. Him, gill and cook could have been such a special trio.

They ran circles around the Clemson CBs -- two of whom are projected to go in the first / second round of the NFL draft. They couldn't even guard our guys.

We went from having one of the most dangerous corps of WRs in college football, to them being rendered irrelevant by the limitations of Collins, Filardi, and Carney.

It was his first couple games starting I think he will learn not to do this anymore. He had two years of eligibility left and we know he can make the correct decisions just needs more experience. He knows the play sheet by heart most likely with all this time he’s had.

the only WR that stayed mostly healthy was GIll.

Ross/Hornsby/JRs/Cook/Williams/Russell/Johnson/Daniels all of them got hurt.

Almost all the oline got hurt

Willis/Nixon/Malichi and I think another RB got hurt

The OL did well vs Clemson they fell apart after that game.

Lets hope 30 yrs later that Angelli can come back like Marino

He was hurt Oct of 93 and came back to start Sept 4 on 94

30 Yrs has to have sped up some of that process one would think,

I felt like I was watching a different team seeing that, it's been so long. Wanted to cry. Now that is a QB.

Please please let him recover fully. No doubt it's his team and the players can't wait for him to get back.
Nothing good happens after we beat Clemson.

Those routine throws looked routine because he was able to survey the field and find the open man. Rickie for whatever reason can’t do that
