Did we move the ball on the drive though? Pretty sure we were already in scoring position. It was a good TD pass for sure, but it was 3 and out city with Rickie at QB
Totally agree. Hoping we tailor a much different game plan totally centered on Willis. Don’t trust Rickie right now.

He’s a raw, inexperienced QB—what do you really expect? He’s going up against a Clemson defense that’s loaded with talent, even if they are 1–3. On top of that, he’s only been practicing with the 1s for about a month, so it’s unrealistic to think he’s just going to start driving the ball up and down the field right away. We also had a three-score lead, so it made sense to stay conservative and avoid putting the ball in harm’s way.
Let’s see how things look next week after he’s had another full week with the 1s, more coaching from Jeff Nixon, plus guidance from Steve. With that combination of reps, coaching, and preparation, we’ll get a clearer picture of how he can handle being the starter.
That's where I'm at after some thought, he must have had awful thoughts about possibly making a mistake and losing that game with such a big lead.

Just like haliburton. Calf strains are no good - take a seat and avoid the Achilles year that follows
My first thought when Angeli went down with the injury, was the first time he went down earlier in the game. Strained his achilles, causing it to later rupture. Just like Haliburton. Just so unfortunate.

Is that confirmed

Exactly. We'll know what we got with Rickie when we play Pitt back at the dome after the bye week.

Yes Angeli had a ton of passing yards but it also took him about 7 quarters of football basically up until Uconn 4th quarter to get the offense fully rolling.

I feel like we potentially just won the battle, but lost the war today. Rickie did not inspire much confidence for me. I don’t recall us getting a first down until the last series, and that was all Yasin.

Based of how he/we looked, if we didn’t lose Angeli I’d feel confident in us having a chance in just about every remaining game and having a good season. Now I just hope we can get 3 more wins.
Maybe he would’ve inspired more confidence if the recievers didn’t drop most of the balls! I think he’ll do just fine!

Game chat says he is out for season. Some saw him in a boot which is an odd place for an ACL injury. Post game one of coaches said a couple weeks. Don’t want to get my hopes up.

Seems to me there are 3 possibilities with the boot on the ankle:
1. ankle sprain
2. broken foot / ankle
3. achille's tendon

If it's 1 or 2, he'll be back this year.
If it's the achille's, then we are rolling with Mr. LSU.
