Wow. Impressive win. Keep it up.
She wasn’t a shooter at all particularly not a 3 point shooter. She was quick and a better penetrator with the ball who could drive the paint well. Tiana being the much more effective point guard, Kiara played the shooting guard role, who ended up being a high volume shooter with a low fg%. Her best year was when she was the replacement pg, when Tiana was out for the year. Always thought she was suited for the role as a back up point guard. She did that while she was here, and if you go to Yahoo woman's stat's she is doing it at Clemson. She always shot to much when she was here.
She announced that she was redshirting this year. Don’t know if it’s reversible or not but it would be sad to lose an entire year of eligibility if she could only play a few games. If by chance Priscilla is able to play this year, this good end up being a very good team. They all can handle, pass, and run the floor. If they can have 8 players to play every game, with how guick they are they can be very dangerous.
It should be easy to recruit players to this fast-paced style, press, run, pass, and play tough defense.
Walker has not even been on the bench the last 2 gamesWhat up with Jayla Thornton and Eboni Walker? Injuries?
no walker here, so did she leave?Walker has not even been on the bench the last 2 games

Unfortunately too many people around Syracuse have gotten used to pathetic basketball. It's been about 7 or 8 years since the men's team has been exciting to watch. It would be nice if Syracuse.com led their page with the women's blowout win instead of the men's collapse against Georgetown

Mike Curtis usually covers the women's team but he was at Georgetown yesterday. I'm guessing probably a vacation substitute.Looks like the Women's beat writer also covers local HS hockey.
Or he's just a vacation fill in.

Hey the Clemson Men's Soccer team just won the NCAA. No complaining please.
I have been impressed by Vonn assembling and coaching what looks like a very competitive team. After what I believe was an understandably slow start(given the almost entire roster makeover) the team is looking better than anyone predicted.Hey the Clemson Men's Soccer team just won the NCAA. I appreciate the appearance of good team chemistry and better play than I or anyone else thought possible.
I admit, my feeling was they needed a fresh start, but happy to see Vonn Read with the summer team bonding. All of this. ^^^^
“Many people were saying” that keeping Vonn as interim HC was a terrible move, and JW screwed this up royally, and yada yada yada.
But you’ve got to give him and the ladies a TON of credit.
They are playing hard, and well, and managing to overcome their utter lack of size with grit and smarts and determination.
They’ve already achieved a lot more this season than most would have expected.
LFGO!!!!
Kamilla is the only center named on their roster. They have been playing with 2 starting ‘forwards’ with heights of 6’4” and 6’5” who are both just juniors. Out of the top 6 players with the most playing time, only 2, both guards, are seniors. Unless they replace one of the senior guards with a center (Cardoso 6’7”) she will remain a bench player next year if their main roster and playing time stays consistent.i see cardoso only got 7 minutes last game. Hope she is at peace with her decision.
I agree, she along with Williams if she plays would have a lot of fun with this team. There are no volume shooters like Lewis, everyone wants to pass even Styles who is our center. You can see they get more enjoyment out of the pass that leads to the basket, then scoring themselves.Kamilla is the only center named on their roster. Cardoso is performing well in her limited minutes (15.5 minutes average this year vs 23.5 last year at SU). She’s shooting 55%(58% last year) , grabbing an average of 6 rebounds/game (8 last year), increased her ft% from 60 to 69%, decreased her turnovers too. She announced her departure late, wish she had stayed. She runs the court so well especially for a center, I think she would have fit in well skill wise with this year’s running team. This year’s team at SU sure seems to be having fun playing with each other.
This is a good column, good on Syracuse.com and Mike Curtis for diving a bit deeper into the team dynamics and publishing it. Like you posted above, imagine if Camilla had stayed so we had a true center. That's not a knock on Styles at all either, she has been great filling in that gap. I had no idea that she normally plays forward.Syracuse women’s basketball clicking on all cylinders thanks to ‘good people and good players’
Syracuse acting head coach Vonn Read said the team's chemistry has been the main spark to Orange's recent 5-game win streak.www.syracuse.com
