The interviews were in NYC, I was told

She only has a 25% chance if there is only a total of 4 candidates. I would bet the field. I have a hard time believing the hiring committee would sign off on a candidate who was dismissed from a peer school in the same position.

Sounds like her wagon might be hitched to Kent's in several important ways.

So... maybe we dodged a bullet? Or maybe she is headed to Ann Arbor because the outlook doesn't seem favorable for her here anyway -- in which point, why stay?

So the only thing I recall seeing on this board was Haynie might be a backer for Lyke or something to that effect. My impression was it was speculative. If there's something more concrete between the two I had not read it.
Also the AD search committee is comprised of some senior representatives and I believe it was said Tirico in his role on the BoT was one of them. If a committee was formed, they have the task to provide the recommendation presumably. I would think if its neck and neck perhaps Haynie becomes a tie breaker?

Edit: With Haynie being named tomorrow officially, perhaps that's in time for him to intentionally sit through a final AD interview later this week? Just spitballing.
