Right now he'd be lucky to hit water standing on a dock.
Then he's in good company as our current starting QB would be lucky to hit the dock.

Nassib is a pretty accurate passer on short and intermediate routes.
He's more accurate than Mark Sanchez, at least. Our record last year would beg to differ. He can't make a throw when he needs to short, intermediate or long. It's that simple. If I had a dollar for every pass he's thrown over, behind or 5 yards in front of the receiver I would be drinking for free at the Dome for the rest of my life.

62% 2700 yards 22 TDS and 9 INTS - yeah he sounds like a bum.
agreed we need to see broyld on the field before we make assumptions, but he would have gone to a bigger name school without all the trouble he made for himself. We took a flier a gave him a clean slate. We will reap rewards from this risk.Until Broyld starts tearing it up against D I talent on a weekly basis we should continue to recruit the position. There are zero givens in sports. Heck, even Bryce Harper isn't even a given and he's probably the best baseball prospect...ever.
did you watch the games? Short and intermediate he is good. Not much you can do with little separation, but he fires a ball. The problem long is he has no touch, which gives the receiver no time to catch up to the ball. Our record last year would beg to differ. cant just blindly follow stats-
how did he perform under pressure-not very good, but neither did the rest of the team
it would make life simple if 1 player was the cure or the cause-
i didnt see one game that could be blamed on a player- they all contributed-
No one said he's a bum, he's just not the answer. I think he's a mediocre college QB at best who has accuracy issues and happy feet. We could do worse but I believe we can also do a lot better which is why I agree with the original point of the thread, which is that we should be recruting more QB's (including possible transfers).
i think nassib could be a serviceable qb to a solid one-
i also think sitting out a few series last year during the skid would have helped him grow a bit-
no reason we couldnt have had some direct snap type of offense, heck macky's strength was the long snap-
personally i would use a ton of rolling out plays with ryan ,imho he throws best when on the move, he looses all touch when stationary-imho
throw in some option to keep the d on its toes-

We should recruit a QB every single year period.
keep rockin the jorts, tobias, and best of luck with the blue man groupThis kid just committed to USF again. Did say Syracuse and Ole Miss rounded out his top 3.
agreedSerious. IF the kid stays eligible and by extension had the capacity to digest the X's and O's, we'll all like what we see. Serious.
