Summer Sessions 2025

I was saying this a lot last season, the dude looked burned out. I think it all started with the culture in his first season which afterwards was the offseason last year being so stressful and chaotic. So far it’s been a successful offseason. I think he probably even got some rest for the first time in a while. It’s a nice development!
If Autry turns the ship around from the coaching side I will be thrilled. I hope he succeeds.

Watching all these welcome videos, a lot of these guys certainly pass the eye test.

Any word when Kiyan rolls into town?
This kid is built like a truck. Big strong body. There’s always a role for a kid like this. He’s also happy to be here. He will work hard to get on the court, which can only make the other guys better.

Thank you, Melo! It is finally Kiyan’s turn!
Tag, you’re in son…

Two members of SU’s recruiting class won’t arrive in Syracuse for a few more weeks.

Luke Fennell, a 6-6 guard from Australia, is playing for his country’s team in the FIBA Under-19 World Cup. The tournament begins this Saturday in Lausanne, Switzerland. Australia opens play with a game against the USA.

Tiefing Diawara, a 7-foot center, plans on coming to Syracuse in another two weeks. Originally from Mali, Diawara spent this past year at DME Academy at St. John’s Northwestern in Delafield, Wis.

I’m sure Harris is running tests on all the guys to get their measurable abilities down. Strength, agility, explosiveness, probably some things people outside the highest levels haven’t thought of yet… I would love to see a before and after of those measurements on the summer long training camp. (Just like I’ll never see Kline’s database, I know it will never happen.)

If that level of intensity is kept all summer long, they all should be extremely fit and a lot stronger when school rolls around.
