Summer Workouts

That's for all the people saying 6 wins are OK, we all need to get with the program. This is a new era, and we need to get used to expecting to win.
The first steps to becoming good is expecting to win, not expecting to lose.
People are worried about how many games we can win with this schedule. I consider the schedule a blessing… If we play well enough, there is no way they can use Strength of Schedule to keep us out of the playoffs.

Anyone know schedule moving forward this summer? Assume the team is on campus holding individual training sessions?

Is there any restrictions on what coaches can do these days ie. are they limited time wise? Or now that this is professional sports are they allowed to coach at anytime and day.

I think it is now voluntary workouts up to 8 hours a week lead by a strength coach.
No pads and they can use a football.
I don't think there is any rules on player lead workouts.

Maybe I missed it but does anyone have a full projected depth chart somehwere?

I agree. We want to make a statement that Cuse is back. First one will be when we beat Tenn. Ya gotta play the best to beat the best to be the best.
Anything less than 10 wins I will be surprised and disappointed.

You honestly think a 9 win season against that schedule would be a disappointment?
We have no idea what this schedule will be like. Last year's was supposed to be easy and it turned out harder than what people expected. This year's? Who knows. You just don't know how teams will be affected by graduation, the portal, coaching changes, etc.

I hear you and I think the point you are making is especially applicable when predicting a soft SOS. I also agree that SOS is fluid in season.

But, having "no idea what this schedule will be like" seems like a bridge too far given the projected strength, returning production, elite year over year recruiting, and historical performances of several of the teams on the schedule. There is precedence and data to support that the probability of those teams living up to the preseason projections. Of course there are exceptions almost every season. But, exceptions do not disprove the correlations.

There are 4 road games (3 true road games and 1 "neutral-site") against teams that played in CFP last season. We also travel to Miami.

Of Bill Connelly’s top 14, Syracuse’s SOS is just one of two outside of teams in the SEC, joining Wisconsin.

So yeah, I think we do have an idea of the strength of this schedule.

If you are a going to be great, you first have to believe you are. Yes they may not get there but Fran, the coaches , and the players along with the fans need to feel that way.

This isn't relevant to the post I was responding to nor do I believe that what the fans "feel" will have any meaningful impact on the actual outcomes.
