Surprise Team in the ACC this Season.

What about the walk-on that kept doing that stupid reaction everytime Perrantes made a three? Please tell me he is gone.
Lol, no he's still there. You're talking about Jeff Jones Jr. His Dad (Jeff Sr.) was our point guard during most of the Ralph Sampson years, and was also our head coach once upon a time (before Gillen, who was before Leitao, who was before Bennett). I'm pretty sure he'd bug the crap out of me if I was the fan of another ACC team, but we get a kick out of him :)
No, I think he's talking about Caid Kirven, who did graduate.

Yeah, I think that is him. As you guys were building your lead, having to see his stupid reaction just rubbed me the wrong way. I am sure he is a good guy, but you know how it is when your emotions are running so high.

Guys on the bench can be kinda strange sometimes. They're busting their humps in practice everyday and most times only get to celebrate the starters' accomplishments. For example, the Twerp MLax benchriders "invented" the mosh pit goal celebrations.

Yeah, I am sure some of SU's bench guys get on other team's fan's nerves as well.

This is going to be weird on the Syracuse board, but I think Syracuse.

The very early projections seem to have you guys somewhere around the middle of the pack in the ACC, but I see a team that could challenge for the top...especially if you get White. Without him, still a solid top 15-20 team.
Go back a few weeks and see the thread where an "expert" picks SU to be in the bottom half of the conference despite having several "breakout players" in various categories. If the rest of the "experts" pick Su to be in the bottom half then I too think they could well be the surprise of the year.

i'm totally gonna refer to stinky-fingers as Fuentes from now on
my bad .. unfortunately, I didn't realize I muffed the spelling until it was too late to edit. Ces't la vie.

FSU always surprises me. Their record is always worse than I thought it should have been. At least, that's been the case ever since they won the title.

That's NC State for me. Over the last 5-6 years the talent they've brought in is probably only exceeded by Duke in the ACC, but they either miss the tournament or barely squeak in when they do.

They play zero defense and their 7 footers always weigh 200 pounds.

1975 was a long time ago. This generation of Twerps need something to be proud of.

Which is why it is so odd. Back in 2012 (their ACC Championship year), and for the years preceding that, defense was the aspect of their game upon which they hung their collective caps. That was Hamilton's forte. Sometimes the offense resembled a Chinese Fire Drill, but the defense was solid. Their recruiting has improved, but their performance doesn't reflect it.
