Syracuse +13.5 vs. Tennessee

Cuse hasn't lost a game by 50 points since 1999 and Tennessee has never, like as in ever in its history, beaten a Power 4 / 5 (whatever you want to call it now) by 50 points. So... that's all sorts delusional
TN has rolled numerous power 5 teams by 50 So….

I can say with confidence ours are MORE objective. We certainly have some delusionals, but we have others that try to keep them grounded. The most annoying Tennessee fans are the ones that don't know football, don't watch any sports other than Tennessee, and want to tell you incessantly how great Tennessee is.
So a team is a 14 point favorite and you’re surprised their fans are predicting a blowout? Come on here next time we’re a 14 point favorite and see how many people are predicting a close game. Fans overrate their teams chances, particularly early in the season when everyone on their team is gonna be great. It’s the nature of fandom. In a TroyNunes pole 62% think SU is gonna beat Tenn. in any other instance we’d say 62% of fans of a 14 point dog predicting a win are totally delusional.

I think a huge difference is that the team and fanbase actually feel prepared to play a ranked SEC team on the road under Fran Brown in August. No more of this 5 games of cupcakes to start the season and then going 1-5 to close the year against the real competition in Oct-Nov.

Point being if we played this game in August or late November with this coach and team I would still have the same level of competitive optimism. Maybe not a win either way but competition .

Outside of 1 team in the last 25 years ish I think if we catch a ranked SEC team in Atlanta we would’ve been looking at a 35 point loss in week 1 or a 50 point loss in week 12.

Year 2 of Fran Brown and it’s less than a 2 TD spread.

Will be averaging less than 3 tomorrow
Russell plays for Arkansas … I can tell you watch the games … good grief. Now if you mean Willis I have no clue but I’ll consider a blessing to your family that you can count that high.

A 235 lb running back is going to be a big problem for Tennessee. And he likes to run through people .

I'm hoping for big things from Willis. He seemed like a freight train in the spring game last year.

I love our skill position guys. Now if we can compete in the trenches. Huge test.

I think we have a great opportunity here. We are not going to get pushed around based on size and weight. It comes down to technique, coaching and nasty attitude.

I am saying I am very familiar with their fans and can confirm they are far more delusional than ours. This opinion is not simply based on our game. How long have you lived within 10 miles of their campus? I've lived here 17 years.

If I were a Syracuse fan I would be more worried about stopping the UT RBs. Peyton Lewis is 6,1 220 state champ in the 100. I hope the orange men run D has improved a great deal. If not gonna be a long day for those poor safeties.
That's certainly a concern.
