That’s a really good comp and agree. Sadiq would flourish in how BH demands they push the ball and attack the rim . Not to mention he has a workable 3 pt shot in low volume.

SMUs bigs wouldn’t be able to play together in a high tempo game or would get fatigued quickly. It’s part of why SMU is so bad defensively this year.

Toombs is very similar to Taurean Thompson just without the attitude and drama issues.

Kline did nothing special and was a part of the problem and not part of the solution.
At the end of the day, he put together and/or identified the pieces of a losing team snd deserves accountability just like Red and the staff.
You can’t hide behind a computer in the sports world for very long with no results.

1. he didn't just sit behind a desk and play with analytics. he was on the road a lot meeting with players and kind of acting like a recruiter.

2. you also have to work within constraints. namely nil. you can only buy a roster that your given nil can afford.

3. another constraint is getting players the hc approves of for their system.

Yup, it seems like major decisions have already been made, which is super refreshing. This is what major programs do. Last year, most of the major jobs were locked up before the tournament started. We are finally acting like it, which is a great change. We are being proactive instead of reactive.

I’m okay with having a guy like Sadiq that plays like a Camby/hakim Warrick type role but you need other complementary players around him to make that work.

Yup, it seems like major decisions have already been made, which is super refreshing. This is what major programs do. Last year, most of the major jobs were locked up before the tournament started. We are finally acting like it, which is a great change. We are being proactive instead of reactive.

And we are, as of now, likely the most attractive job on the market. We should have some buyer power currently. Certainly moreso than we would have last year. Hope the administration is using these tailwinds to their full advantage.

Not a concern for me. It’s what I could find that could be considered a skeleton for Hodgson, which is what Orangezoo asked for.
