ok, so when im not being vague and making people guess what im saying, im direct.

this is the latter.

what does this mean??

he was cleared in Bama, but Cuse did not. correct??

is there now tension with the SU medical team and will this hasten a departure??

does he think hes good to resume football activities??
If he is on blood thinners he can't play football.

what does this mean?? - it means that the hematologist up there wants him back on blood thinners indefinitely, against the recommendation of the vascular surgeon and hematologist down here. Resuming blood thinners means he can't play, and would therefore be DQ'ed.

he was cleared in Bama, but Cuse did not. correct?? - partially correct. the vascular surgeon and hematologist down here both state that he can "...play contact sports without restrictions". The hematologist up there disagrees. The final say concerning clearance will come from Dr. Tucker, the team physician. That say comes sometime after 6 pm Eastern this evening.

is there now tension with the SU medical team and will this hasten a departure?? - I've no idea concerning tension within the SU med staff. I will come out and say that there is/was some sort of tension between current/previous coaching staff and med staff.

does he think hes good to resume football activities? - yes, based on what we've been told by the vascular surgeon and hematologist down here, we think Steven is at minimal risk to play football.

bcubs, are the Syracuse specialists your son has seen actually part of the SU team medical staff or are they referred to by the team doctor?

The hematologist up there is NOT a part of the SU medical staff. I am unsure of that hematologist's relationship with SU, or Dr Tucker. BTW, the name of the hematologist up there is DiFino.

There's a relationship there.

When the kids get hurt or are ill they are sent to the regular doctors. The team doctor and training staff work with the doctors who see the kids to develope a plan for care that works for the team the kids and the NCAA. The team doctor gets final say on medical disqualifications. But aside from physical therapy most treatments are done by outside doctors. When shy had his surgery it wAs an outside doctor then his rehab was handled by the training staff. Follow ups went back to the outside doctor. Of course they team has a specialist they use for all the outside stuff but they are not su staff.

You know, we're getting a look through the windshield from the passenger seat on this one, but, this is a sampling of the multiple scenarios that have been happening behind the scene's for years.

Think of names like Isaiah Johnson, Charlie Copa, Kyle Knapp, AJ Long, Denzel Ward. This is just a sampling of a large number of people.

I'm not saying some weren't justified, I am saying there's a significant amount of frustration behind the scenes.

Yep. We're lucky some are still suiting up...

BTW, I have no idea what the end result of this is going to be. I will assure everyone, though, that I will be painfully forthcoming. If, for no other reason, so that everyone can understand exactly some of the issues our current and previous coaching staff have had to deal with.

I'm praying for Steven. As a former Coumadin user who took myself off them when I bled 8 hours after cutting myself shaving, thinners are serious business. I felt that insurance companies, fears of potential malpractice claims loomed large in my case. I hope that is not the case with Steven. Still praying..
