Syracuse Football fined $25k by the ACC

They would never do this to a another conference team south of the Mason Dixon Line. Pitt and BC better be on the lookout.

I bet we get a few equipment penalties on Saturday for good measure. A$$ wholes.

You watch that play and it is pretty suspicious. both guys were standing after the play was over.. Now it was a wild scramble play with lots of running but still.

Not that cramps don't just happen pretty fast.
Is everyone ignoring the whole ‘together with the concurrent action of the coach in the area” bit?

It totally looked like Nissi and another DL faked injuries as Clemson moved into the red zone on one play. It also looked like we faked injuries in the Tennessee game. Not sure if they've been coached to do that but lets get off our soap box because we've been doing it.
No question. But so have other schools and I haven't seen them fined. And one thing I know, if the roles were reversed. The Tigers would not have been fined.

Seriously, this stupid conference. Still holding out hope that somehow we can end up in the Big Whatever with our northeastern peers.

Would love to hear some of Fran's authenticity if he chooses to address it publicly.

Agreed. They are accusing us from the podium without proving it. Absolutely tyrannical and unfair.
I would tell the ACC that we are appalled at the insinuation and that we aren't paying unless they have absolute proof that our players weren't actually hurt in each instance. There's no way they can prove it short of someone in the program bragging about it.

Clemson's and FSU's lawyers might be looking for work. We'll sue!

(I kid)

This feels a bit like we are either being cast as the villain for ruining the conference’s playoff predeterminations, (hey guys, Clemson was bad all by themselves) or they are mad that we embarrassed them right after they settled the lawsuits that will pay them more and allow them to leave early. The ACC seems to be endorsing conference weakness rather than our potential as a rising team. They’re probably mad at us for Miami last year too. I believe we are guilty of faking injuries, but we’ve been victims of it for much longer than we’ve been perpetrators of it. Why are we the example all of a sudden after one infraction?

We should sue the ACC right back for playing favorites. Clemson did the same thing we did at times during that game. This smells of the ACC begging Clemson to not leave the conference first chance they get.

Dedicate a film guy to go through and find every one of those fakes by Clemson, or TN, or anyone else in the ACC faking injuries and cut a highlight tape. Send it to the league for review. Apparently fines can be issued retroactively.

They took a dive. Its clear on the film they took a dive.

Just fix the rule with at least one tweak.. You come out for injury that stops the clock you are out for the series. You need to go to the tent and get looked at.

Imagine we had the old rule where you had to stay out for the half.

Fight this tooth and nail. Throw every administrative hurdle and protest. Make them go blind on paperwork. Exhaust every appeal. Insist on signing the check in person. Have flight problems and scheduling conflicts that span into 2029. Finally show up without a pen. Printer jams. Out of check stock. Out of ink. Bank won't pay check in dollars, check is drawn on account denominated in Euros. 2nd issue - account now closed ..until the bitter end...
