Syracuse Football Valuation- $329 Million

We need to be around 40 to not be left behind. Looks like we have some work to do and a few years to do it. As long as the university, fans and community support Fran and football, this is attainable.
I think anyone over 250m that also delivers a state to a conference footprint is safe. By these valuations Syracuse is equal to Cal + BC or about 2.5 Rutgers which seems about right currently.

I like how a Rutgers is a unit of measure. Us being worth 2.5 Rutgers feels light. Gotta get to at least 3x to get that big boy seat.

I’m surprised to see Houston dead last among P4 schools. Huge school in a huge city with very fertile recruiting grounds in every direction.

There is a reason opponents call it Cougar High.

Amazing that about 15 years ago they drew flies at Hofheinz for basketball

My first semester of college was at UofH. Small town kid going to a university that was 3 times the size of the town I was from. Campus is huge, but it was known at that time as one of the largest commuter schools in the country (late 80's). I suspect not much has changed in that respect.

Small fan base. Houston is kind of like NY with a ton of immigrant communities that don't care about football, and the people that do are probably more about UT and A&M or their alma mater/home state team assuming they moved from elsewhere in the South.

Would guess LSU is popular there. Lot's of Katrina refugees never went back

seems mostly reasonable. (Especially the Buttgers part). I Think USC is too high, A&M and Clemson too low.

At least one portion of the report could not be more accurate:

Rutgers still isn’t getting a full share from the Big Ten, and the Scarlet Knights don’t have enough upside or brand power to be any higher.

This reminds me of another unit of measure we created on another message board a bunch of years ago. A Vernemike, which is the combined height of Verne Troyer and Michael Jordan (9'2", for those curious).
