Syracuse hires former Pittsburgh AD Heather Lyke in new advisory role
Heather Lyke served as the athletic director at Pittsburgh from 2017 through last September.
The SUAD really needs high level people who can take big projects and drive them to completion. Not much in the way of experienced personnel there right now.
And reportedly over, and not wise, spending on new facility for some nonrevenue sports.
All of us? I wasn't invited to that party. Besides, that would be inappropriate for this family friendly board.Did we have a thread busting on her pretty bad?

Being fired or cut from a sports team can be a major setback, but for some, it has served as a powerful catalyst for achieving even greater success. Here are some compelling examples of individuals who bounced back after being let go:
Coaches:
- Bill Belichick: After being fired by the Cleveland Browns, Belichick went on to lead the New England Patriots to a record-setting nine Super Bowl appearances and six victories, solidifying his place as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history.
- Tony Dungy: Following his dismissal from the Buccaneers, Dungy joined the Colts and guided them to a Super Bowl win, further enhancing his reputation as a respected and successful coach.
- Pete Carroll: Fired by both the Jets and Patriots, Carroll found immense success in the college ranks before returning to the NFL to lead the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory.
- Jon Gruden: Traded by the Raiders, Gruden won a Super Bowl in his first season with the Buccaneers.
- Glen Gulutzan: Fired by the Stars, he worked as an assistant before being hired as head coach by the Calgary Flames, and later rejoined the Stars in 2025.
I think his point is that he doesn't think very much of her and can't believe another "top" university would hire her for such a significant job.I have no idea what he's intending w this joke
When i was taking classes for my writing minor - which makes me an expert, self-published novel coming soon - I nervously raised my hand.I think his point is that he doesn't think very much of her and can't believe another "top" university would hire her for such a significant job.
