That's pretty friggin good, considering a green QB handicapped offense that has trouble passing north and getting into the end zone.

They've won two on the road to that a lot people around here had down as losses.

Staff is coming around and grown up a bit since the GT debacle. FSU is going to kill us, hopefully get in and out healthy and focus on the last two. Sign me up for a 6-4 or 7-3 finish.

With a new coaching staff, first year SO QB, significant talent/leadership lost from last year, im pleased with where we're at given our schedule. Of course it'd be nice to have Penn Stated back, but if somebody told you that you'd be 3-2 in the ACC headed down the stretch with 3 to play would you have taken it in August?

Hmmm ...
We had a nice second half in 2012, but did not close well in November in the other years. It is a function of depth -- we did not have any in 2011, we have some now. Lyn goes out, Whigham steps up. Eskridge is out for a half, Desir plays well. PTG goes out, Morris fills in.

As for coaching, it is amazing to see how fans were turning on McDonald & Burrough in October, and how those fans are now believers.

You have to admit though that in the last two games there have been obvious changes from both unit coordinators.

Yeah ... .they fired Burrough and hired Bullough that has definitely made an impact on defense.

Shafer is such a fiery guy. I'm guessing motivation is a strength of his, which comes in handy after the slow start at G Tech debacle.

But need to see more development of Hunt as a passer.

I wonder how much more involved Shafer has gotten with the defense. It looks to me that we are disguising blitz much more now than earlier in season (something Shafer was excellent at as DC) but we are still blitzing more than Shafer used to (even though he obviously liked to blitz a lot also). It seems like he has gotten a little more involved or put in his 2 cents in regards to the looks we are giving but obviously Bullough still making the calls.

I think people are forgetting who we are playing.. we have done fine against teams that dont have a dominant strength. ncst/wake/mary are teams you can shut down and we have..

I feel like this season we've beaten the teams that we're better than, and we've lost to the teams we're not as good as. Can't really say there have been any surprises.

We're not better than Florida State. This season comes down to whether we're better than Pitt and/or BC.
