Is anyone surprised by this ? The SEC and Bevo consistently play joke NCS but suffer no ramifications as a result. They need to load strength of schedule back into the BCS equation in a big way.

Seems a little unfair criticism given the strength of the SEC in conference schedule. It's clearly the toughest conference top-to-bottom. A killer OOC schedule would seem to be unnecessary.

No one can argue about the strength of the SEC. But sheesh.....do they ever play a soft OOC schedule. They may as well just schedule a 8-9 games for the year and not waste time on the other 3-4 games.

Every in conference schedule is tough. The notion that KY, Vandy, MSU, TAMU, Mizzou or even Ole Miss would run the table in the BE, ACC, BiG or PAC is silly. They wouldn't. Strength of schedule would account for the internal strength of a conference and penalize teams that want to play a bunch of cream puffs OOC. If you want to play two FCS teams a year go for it, you're just not going to be rewarded for it.

Stony Brook is a top 25 FCS team. Far better than Fordham.
