Syracuse on "Survivor"

My wife and I are in our 30's and we watch the Challenge on MTV every season, this thread makes my heart happy we're not alone in this...;)

Have you been watching Stranded With a Million Dollars? It's incredible.

Brad crushed another challenge yesterday. If Rex and Dino need to use a slingshot in the Offense, they can lean on Brad.

Yeah, she's nuts...he seamed to handle it really well. If they had lost, I think she was probably going to go home.

Didn't know much about him, so I Wikipedia ed him. I didn't realize he was a senior on the Florida team we beat in '91.

You don't know what you're missing. Is it true survival reality? Not at all. But here's what you do get from both Survivor and Big Brother(pretty much the only two I like). They are highly competitive. Each episode has some type of challenge and liking sports just kind of makes me enjoy that stuff.Survivor does expose people to the elements and it can be fairly entertaining to watch a bunch of prima donnas freak out after getting rained on continuously for 48 hours as they sob, shake, shiver, etc. There's some good human character stuff going on always. People back stabbing, lying, or taking the other route and falling on swords for people. Survivor honestly is fun because most of these people just can't cut it in the wilderness and lose their crap after a few weeks. Big Brother is much more of a look into the dark side of human nature. There's a fair amount of skin in each show which helps some too.
But if you see a few episodes or one season haven't you seen them all?

NO.
Ok. To each their own.

Some, like the talent based reality shows, are fine. Once in a blue moon a celebrity is genuinely INTERESTING enough with enough actual accomplishments prior to getting the show to be worth watching (I'm thinking Kathy Griffin's My Life on the D List) but I tend to avoid the genre cause I don't like fake drama.

That's like saying, if you've seen one Football game, you've seen them all.
I get the analogy. But as you know, lots of people can't stand football or watching sports in general!
