Syracuse on "Survivor"

Apparently those people are all Syracuse students or big monied Syracuse alumni
I think if we can have a season where we don't end up with so many key injuries that the starting QB is a walk on, which I'm pretty sure happened last season, plus injuries to some other positions, that Babers can get the team to at least 500 and a bowl game.

After that, we will see because his recruits will be more apparent.

But people were psyched about him for good reason I think. And I am very conflicted about being a fan of a sport where there are so many concussions and TBIs and all that implies for the players. Yet the SU situation is still interesting to me.

It has been a few years since I watched survivor.. but Brad has given me a rooting interest in this season... and this thread encouraged me to get caught up!

After seeing Brad and Monica at last year's spring Game (had a nice small chat), I'm assuming they may be there again this year. My kids are big fans now and are hoping to get a pic with him.

Be on the lookout and give a heads up if anyone see them!!

Watching Amazing Race tonight and noticed one of the contestants, Tara Carr, wearing a Cuse shirt. Looked her up and she received her degree from Syracuse. New favorite team on my favorite reality show.

Yeah I noticed that, gotta root for her and her partner now.

CULPEPPER! (FYI Monica took the pic)

You don't know what you're missing. Is it true survival reality? Not at all. But here's what you do get from both Survivor and Big Brother(pretty much the only two I like). They are highly competitive. Each episode has some type of challenge and liking sports just kind of makes me enjoy that stuff.Survivor does expose people to the elements and it can be fairly entertaining to watch a bunch of prima donnas freak out after getting rained on continuously for 48 hours as they sob, shake, shiver, etc. There's some good human character stuff going on always. People back stabbing, lying, or taking the other route and falling on swords for people. Survivor honestly is fun because most of these people just can't cut it in the wilderness and lose their crap after a few weeks. Big Brother is much more of a look into the dark side of human nature. There's a fair amount of skin in each show which helps some too.
It's all scripted, with chosen winners.

I'd sorta forgotten how good Monica looks...
I spoke with her for a sec at the spring game, and she took our picture with Brad. She is every bit as good looking in real life.

If that's the case, then most of these people on Survivor should be actors, because their emotions and looks on their faces seem awfully real to me.

Yes that's ridiculous. the only thing scripted is 39 days, x amount of people, and planned challenges.

Tomorrow's the finale and Brad is still alive. If he wins the whole thing, do we hang a banner in the dome?
I haven't watched any of it. Would it be worth tuning in to the finale? How many are left?
