Grey's injury is factored in. I am taking Syracuse out of the gate. Even if Grey was healthy, Syracuse would still beat them but we wouldn't be laying points. I think Syracuse turns the corner with this game.
I see an open of Syracuse +1 and already +2 at most books (Bookmaker, Betonline, BetCris). The Greek has +2.5. Not sure where u are seeing Cuse -1.
Vegasinsider.com always try to get out first with their "consensus line". Generally pretty good. They are not one of the "line originators" for the books. I think in this game the books are looking at square money going on Minn. with their record, playing at home, Syracuse only beating an fcs team by 11. Most people that wage on college teams don't look at injuries either. I am waiting for my book to post a line and if it +2...I will buy it up to +4. I still think we win on the field. I would be surprised if this wasn't a pick-em game or Syracuse favored at kick-off.

With there starting QB out ( 2nd leading rusher) and there starting Center out.. I like our chances in this game. There back up QB I read is more of a pocket passer and our defence is going to be licking there chops to get at him.. I see the game being a 2pk and would take 'Cuse on that..
We have had bad luck with back up QB's in the last few years. I hope Sat. doesn't continue the trend.
Uh-oh. You said "turn the corner".
no it means youve turned the corner out of your section then turned the corner out of the Dome and you are headed to your car with 8mins to go in the 4th with the game still on the line.If we have turned the corner and proceed to turn another, doesn't that mean we will be headed back to where we started?

You think we have "turned a corner" since Marrone was hired? I am talking on the field performance only. When? 2 years ago in South Florida? at WV? maybe the Pinstripe Bowl? or how about last years WV demolition, which we all know preceeded 7 straight losses. Marrone will never lose 7 straight again. Even if he's here for 20 more years. This is the corner. If we have turned the corner and proceed to turn another, doesn't that mean we will be headed back to where we started?

So you didn't like the joke?

Wow. Lots of optimism here from a team that got boat-raced by a disinterested USC team that had travelled across 3 time zones to play, not to mention the 'Cuse hasn't even left the state of NY to play a game yet.True. But there starting Center is also out.. So there could be some line troubles

Some clarification on the injury standpoint; with this year's starting Center currently dinged up, he is being replaced by a guy who played most of last year at Center, and is moving over from RG; the fill-in RG is a guy who started the last several games at LG last year.
With starting QB Gray being out, I'm not sure that's a "good" thing for Cuse fans. There is a large contingent of UM fans that think Shortell should be starting anyway. The offense with Gray was largely stagnant, Gray not being respected as a passing threat by most defenses; with Shortell, that all changes. Besides, it looks like the Cuse defense gives up yards indiscriminantly, both running the ball and through the air.
And with that change at QB, I would expect that the offense trotted out by UM this Saturday is one for which there really is no game tape as they'll be spending the entire week putting together a game plan suited to the backup. The offense tapes of the UM offense from the first 3 games will be somewhat useless in preparation for Saturday.
Should be a good game though. I would expect some scoring, no doubt.
